Release: Ceetron 3D Viewer for Oculus Rift has been released

Published by by Grim Gjønnes

(15.09.2016) Ceetron released today Ceetron 3D Viewer for Oculus Rift.  It is similar to Ceetron 3D Viewer, but with support for Oculus Rift, including positional and rotational tracking.  Support for other VR devices will be added on request,  To download, see https://ceetron.com/end-user-zone/downloads.
The release is part of Ceetron's investments in VR-enabling its product portfolio.  Use of VR technology for professional purposes has been common for many years in oil and gas, less so in other engineering verticals.  However, we have through 2016 seen significant increase in the professional use of VR in the broader CAE community, especially for analyzing large and complex CFD and FEA models, as well as in the interest amongst businesses and consumers in general.  VR is not new to Ceetron, and our GLview post-processor has for many years had support for stereoscopic displays.  Follow our blog at ceetronblog.com to read more about Ceetron's VR strategy.
