1996

ViewTech AS is incorporated as a spin-off from SINTEF Applied Mathematics by Dr. Tor Helge Hansen and Dr. Ketil Aamnes. The post-processor GLview Pro is released as the company's first product. "Understanding by Visualization" is chosen as the company's mission statement.

1998

Viewtech releases GLview 3D Visualization API version 1.0, a first-generation development toolkit for 3D visualization and interpretation of CAE data‚Äč.

2000

ViewTech AS merges with Dynamic Imaging AS to form Ceetron ASA.

2001

GLview Inova is released as a replacement for GLview Pro.

2003

Ceetron releases GLview 3D Visualization API version 2.0, a second- generation development toolkit for 3D visualization and interpretation of CAE data.

The same year, Ceetron is the first vendor in the CAE market to release free viewers for CAE data through GLview 3D Plugin (ActiveX component for MS Office and MS IE) and GLview Express (stand-alone application, available on Windows and UNIX).

2010

Ceetron releases the first versions of GLview Report Builder and GLview Report Builder SDK.

2011

Ceetron is the first vendor in the CAE market to release a free viewer for handheld devices: GLview Express for iOS.

2014

On 01.07.2014, Ceetron AS is restructured through a management buyout.

2015

Ceetron releases Ceetron 3D Components, its third-generation 3D visualization platform for OEMs.  Ceetron also releases the Import Component, for import of data to 3D Components and Ceetron Export, a stand-alone component for export of CAE data directly from a post-processor to the free 3D viewers .
