Release: 3D Components 1.4.4 is out

(03.11.2016) Ceetron 3D Components 1.4.4 has been released. The release contains a number of improvements and fixes, including updated ImportCAE file readers with support for Abaqus 2016 models files, new readers for LS-DYNA files, new STL reader, support for nodes sets in the UnstructGrid component, and improved querying functionality for edges.

3D Components is a development toolkit for 3D visualization of CAE data. It has been optimized for FEA and CFD models and results, and aims at software developers within CAE, science and engineering.  3D Components is used by leading  providers of solvers and simulators for the CAE community, including DNV GL, Transvalor, and Autodesk.  

The release comes with the following improvements and fixes:
  • Updated ImportCAE file readers with support for Abaqus 2016 model files.

  • Updated ImportCAE file readers with bug fixes.

  • Added readers for LS-DYNA files in the ImportCAE component.

  • Added support for node sets in the UnstructGrid component.

  • Reduced VTFx export time when writing cases that use the same database.

  • Added method for querying outline edges (based on the current crease angle setting) of an unstruct grid part.

  • Added method for querying edges of an element in an unstruct grid part.

  • Added multiple section definition support to Vdm-based readers.

  • Added an STL reader to the ImportCAE component.

  • Added support for transformation matrices for all MarkupPart* classes. 

  • A number of minor improvements and bug fixes
