Open position: Software developer for our Tønsberg office

(09.09.2015) Due to increased activity level and a need to strengthen our capabilities within web and cloud, we are now looking to recruit a talented software developer for our development organization. Successful candidates should have a solid background in several of the following areas:

  • C++, C#/.NET and / or Java
  • Development of web-based user interfaces, for example with HTML5/CSS3 and jQuery UI
  • Cloud server based on node.js and JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform
  • OpenGL / WebGL

We are looking for candidates with a good M.Sc. from a recognized university and relevant specialization.  Candidates should possess personal drive, and a proven willingness to work independently as well as in teams. It is desirable with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience, though newly graduated candidates with good academic credentials will be considered. 

Good communication skills, in English and Norwegian, are a requirement.

Remuneration will be competitive, and include attractive insurance and retirement arrangements.  Our offices at Korten in Tønsberg, Norway are modern and stylish. Ceetron’s financial situation is excellent. 

About our technology platform: Ceetron delivers software for technical and scientific visualization on most relevant platforms and form factors, from desktop (Windows, Linux and Mac) to pads and smart phones (iOS and Android). Most of our software is written in C++ with Qt as GUI tool set. Our main product, Ceetron 3D Components, exists also in a version for C#. Jointly with a number of our customers and Innovation Norway, we are conducting a multi-year project with the objective of developing a platform for cloud-based visualization directly in the browser, no installation required.  (The candidate will initially be assigned to this project.)  Visit http://cloud.ceetron.com  to get a sneak peek of the results from the project.
